Designed to be one of Canterbury's iconic architectural gems, Sheppard & Rout present a unique single-level design, divided into three distinct building wings. This results in a sleek, low-lying structure. Ample natural light floods the interior through full-height glazing, while generous overhangs offer both shelter and sun control. The protruding eastern wing forms a sun-soaked central courtyard, protected from prevailing easterly winds. The central design element boasts exposed Tonka timber rafters on steel frames, while Meranti plywood adds warmth to the formal living and dining areas. This timber theme continues in the inviting gallery space at the entrance.
